Thanksgiving

        Now is a time we set aside to be with family and friends. All coming together to thank God for everything he has done and will do in are life. I know that sometimes its hard to be thankful for things when things are down and out. If we look at the negative we wont see a positive. 

A few years ago i made up a skit with friends. It was The family who built their house on a rock and The family who built their house on sand. It was very creative. One day both of the family's got robed. The family who built their house on a rock was OK in the end, yes they where sad that they got robbed but their life/happiness did not depend on their stuff what they truly cared about was family. The family who built their house on the sand was not so good in the end for they put their worth in what they had. when what they had was gone they fell apart.

Now i know that it was a silly kid example but its true. We cant store up things on earth for they will but fade away. We must store are treasures in heaven. For those treasures will last forever. 

This thanksgiving i am thankful for God and all that he has done for me. I am thankful for my family and friends who i love. For the purpose God has given me.  But what i am the most thankful for is that Jesus died for me.
