A Little Princess

      Growing up my idea of a princess was not very good. Almost all examples of what a princess was in my life where brats and ditsy. They got what they wanted and they did not care about people less than them. So i was a little proud that i was not a princess.

     When people would say "you're a princess because you are a daughter of Christ", i would be like yes, but i am no princess. I could not see myself as who God made me.

     Some weeks ago i read a book called A Little Princess, By Frances Hodgson Burnett. At first i thought that this book was going to be about a brat so i don't know why i read it. As i read this book it made me rethink my role as a princess.


      This book is about a girl named Sara who got everything she wanted growing up but chose to act like a real princess. One who loved everyone, put others in front of herself, and did not care about herself or how people looked at her.


    Sara gets in a bad way, with no money and little food. When Sara finds some money on the street she asks the baker if she knew who dropped it. She would not even buy food with it if she thought she could find the owner. The baker told her she did not know who dropped it. Sara gave the baker the money and the baker gave her 6 roles even tho she only had money for 4. Then Sara went outside and saw a poor young beggar on the street. Sara gives her 5 of the 6 roles even tho Sarah could have eaten them all.

   I love how this paints a image of a real princess. Lately people at church have been telling me that i am a  princess and now i want to be a princess, a child of God. The way people call themselves princesses and yet don't care about others tell me that they are not real princesses. The reason i like the picture to the right is because all girls are princesses. Some girls just don't act like it. Your father is telling you that you're His daughter.


    Some people want to be like the princess that only cares about herself. But God doesn't want us to live for are self.  Matthew 10:39    Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. The whole chapter is amazing the whole bible is amazing! God is so good and he loves us. God calls us his sons and daughters. I want to be Gods daughter, not the worlds kid.
